Sunsets

Sunsets are my favorite time on Earth with you. Every day shaping itself into every night, we earn the innate thrill of gazing at raw moments within the sky that are unlike the days before. What we share together, in our little home residing amongst the clouds, warrants us worthy of a sunset view only a skyline like ours could create.

With every sundown, we somehow find ourselves reaching closer out to the atmosphere in hopes to graze the heavens above. How quickly we light our candles to enhance our joy, is how swift the translucent hues of the sky form; all to hastily flow, choosing to never allow our glossy eyes to rest on the same pattern for too long.

And from this simple joy alone, I note, everything evolves so organically beautiful. Similar to the way I fluently view you. As if it’s a blessing, silently observing glimpses of you, right before you settle into a new pose for comfort..

Sunsets with you remind me of your opulent brown skin. The way it glistens from the peaks of a golden-hour glow, beaming into our home and planting right onto your striking face, leaving me to believe God himself only favors you.

And as the weary, yet satisfied, sun drifts slowly away from us, we affectionately unravel how delicately fleeting sunset’s are,
